Welcome

Picture
We are a small breeder in Michigan. We are located in the Frankenmuth area. All of our dogs are raised in our home and they are part of our family. We never "retire" a breeder and sell them to a new home. Our dogs are our pets and they spend their entire lives with us. When they are too old for breeding, we have them fixed and they spend their golden years with us. Our dogs are not kenneled or caged, they are part of our family and live in our home. Our females are not bred until they are two years old, and they are spayed when they are five.

It is our habit not  to breed our dogs on every heat. There is much debate about this in the breeding world. Some breeders would say that research indicates  a dog's uterus is actually healthier while pregnant. They believe that dogs should be bred on every heat. Maybe the research does suggest the uterus is healthier, but my dogs are more than just a uterus! I do not want them to spend their lives churning out puppies. So we usually choose to breed every other heat. For that reason we only have a few litters a year.

Our puppies are highly socialized, and since they live in our house they are used to the sights and sounds of a home and therefore aren't skittish like kennel dogs can be. We use the "Misty Method" of potty training, and the new owners have reported that our puppies were "practically housebroken" by the time they get them. We produce puppies with wonderful temperaments and lots of personality. Our babies are on the smaller side of the standard, usually weighing less then ten pounds. Our puppies are sold with a written health guarantee. We would never knowingly sell a sick puppy.

We are willing to work out a payment plan. Please contact us for details.

We live out in the country on farmland that has been in the family for three generations. Our dogs enjoy plenty of fresh air and even get to eat free-range eggs as a treat!

Rescues

We also take in rescue dogs. Please see the adult/rescue page for more details.

We never sell to brokers, kennels, or pet shops. DON'T ASK!
